I took my time reading this, and you touched a nerve with me. I'm a writer, and I can understand when someone doesn't feel satisfied with the art they create. However, you create art even in the midst of pain and chaos. I haven't lost such a close family member; yes, I've lost aunts and uncles, but no one as close and important as a sibling. But I know what loss can do to a person, and it's strange, but sometimes that pain inspires us in a peculiar way. Pain makes us feel alive, that we're not just in this world breathing and nothing more. Pain is part of living; with each passing day, we approach an age where the people around us won't be there, and that hurts. I embrace you in this moment and thank you for wanting to share these profound thoughts with us. Thank you.
Alexz, you are light, and you have illuminated many lives. I hope we can be your safe haven in complicated and difficult times. We are here for you.
😭💜💜 such a raw post 🙏 thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings around death and loss because it’s so relatable 🥺 just wow, I’m speechless to how much I connect to this pain, and also knowing I will still experience it in the future… unless like you mentioned above(if I’m taken first)💔 I do take comfort in God and leaving this world to a better place but it doesn’t stop my human emotions and feelings I have around death and loss 💜 having the connections we have on earth while we are here is so important so thank you again 🥹
I find writing to be very a therapeutic. I love what you wrote about writing to understand yourself. I feel like I learn a lot about myself when I write. I remember calling my boyfriend to tell him my father was in palliative care and only had days left. The cry that came from my mouth was unlike any other cry. There's no guideline when it comes to grief. I think sharing is healing.
You got me through hard times as a teenager giving me escape watching instant star and now as a mother to five children, going through my own grief journey I again feel a new connection with you. You are amazing. Thank you for sharing ❤️
